About Us
Crisp mountain air, fragrant balsams, and wild pink roses inspired the logo for Balsam Rose Designs. Our handcrafted 100% natural soap is good for your skin. We use two base recipes. Our standard recipe includes extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, unrefined cocoa butter, unrefined shea butter, and avocado oil. We also offer a very moisturizing, castile soap that is 100% olive oil. We infuse oils with plants, herbs,& seeds to create our colors. Aromatherapy grade essential oils include lavender, lemongrass, peppermint, rosemary, and cedarwood, just to name a few. We offer unscented soap to make sure that we have a bar of soap for everyone's personal preference.
We enjoy every step of the soap making process. Each bar of soap is cut from small, carefully made batches.

About Us
Superb summer fruit; heirloom apple varieties; and hard cider.
A local source of the most distinguished, tasty fruit available locally or long-distance. In addition to Black Diamond also produces Black Diamond Cider – a line of craft hard ciders made entirely from apples grown on the farm. During the summer months we also grow cherries, blueberries, apricots, peaches, plums, pears, and grapes.
Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region of New York, the farm in Trumansburg is adjacent to the Black Diamond trail. The area has a long rich history of apple growing. Despite Black Diamonds small size, they are growing some of the most exciting new varieties and many treasured ‘heritage’ apple varieties. Practicing IFP (Integrated Fruit Production), and taking pride in producing high quality fruit selected for excellent and unusual tastes. A small family operation. Ian and Jackie Merwin own the orchard and get the work done with a small, dedicated, and capable crew.
There’s a small section of the orchard devoted to antique French and English apples grown for traditional hard cider blends. They have great names like Brown Snout, Magog Redstreak, Dabinett, etc. Cidermakers, if interested in buying cider varieties please contact the farmers.
