About Us
Feeding the Ithaca community the most beautiful, delicious and nutritious certified organic fruits and vegetables (including microgreens and peaches)! West Haven Farm was started by John and Jen Bokaer-Smith in 1992. This 10 acre farm is Certified Organic by NOFA-NY Certified Organic, LLC, and is located on a beautiful hill two miles from downtown Ithaca, NY on the land of EcoVillage at Ithaca. All produce is marketed directly to consumers through the Ithaca Farmers' Market, local stores and restaurants. They also have Ithaca's longest running Community Supported Agriculture program (since 1992), but we are taking a break from the CSA for 2017 to focus on soil building and farm improvements. Being so close to Ithaca allows them to provide a multitude of educational experiences on the farm, and we regularly host tours of school children, college students, and local, regional, and international farmers.

We strive to provide what the bees have...which is all natural minimally processed honey and hive products. Our honey is minimally processed, heated and strained not filtered, to deliver the highest quality product to you! We believe we have the “ Best Dog Gone Honey in the Finger Lakes”. You should try some and tell us what you think!! I have spent 30 years in research on biocontrol of invasive insects and use these same concepts with my bees!

We bake a variety of breads in our large wood-fired oven using mostly locally grown organic grains and flours (Farmer Ground Flour in Trumansburg). Bread (sourdough & yeasted varieties). Pastries, cookies, granola, and pasta available at select distribution locations.
